I’m deciding whether to launch our beta next week or wait another month to polish the onboarding.
What’s driving the pull to launch next week? Is it calendar pressure, competitive timing, or something else?
Honestly mostly anxiety. And I told some early users it’d be ready.
That’s useful to name. So the decision is: launch with rough onboarding and keep a commitment, or delay and preserve quality. What does success look like 6 weeks from now?
Commitment & consistency bias — you may be anchoring on the promise, not the readiness
Bias flagged: commitment & consistency

Why it matters

Better decisions
aren’t luck.

The researchers, authors, and investors who think clearest all share one habit: they write down what they believe before they know how it turns out.

The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your decisions.

We can’t control outcomes, but we can control the quality of our decision-making process.

How it works

Three habits.
One conversation.

DJ folds three evidence-based practices into a single interaction — so you don’t have to change your workflow to improve your thinking.

01

Capture intent before outcome

Most learning happens after outcomes are known — which means memory rewrites the reasoning. DJ records what you believed and why at the moment of decision, before hindsight can corrupt it.

02

Surface bias in real time

DJ knows 157 cognitive biases and watches for the specific patterns that distort your thinking. It only speaks up when your conversation has enough context to make it worth flagging.

03

Turn outcomes into lessons

When you revisit a past decision, DJ surfaces what you predicted, compares it to what happened, and helps you extract the update — without the usual self-serving narrative.

The product

Decision-making
that actually sticks.

Most decision frameworks live in a book you read once. DJ lives in the conversation you’re having right now.

Step 01

The conversation is the journal.

You don’t fill out forms. You talk to DJ like you’d think out loud — messy, partial, honest. DJ listens, asks the right questions, and structures the decision behind the scenes.

No templates. No friction. Decision-making feels like a conversation.

Step 02

Bias caught before it matters.

DJ doesn’t lecture you with a list of 157 biases. It flags one specific bias, one specific time, in one specific decision where it actually applies.

Step 03

The reflection teaches you.

Six weeks later, DJ comes back. It shows you what you wrote then, asks what happened, and helps you close the loop — not to judge, but to calibrate.

How is an AI-powered decision journal different from a manual decision journal?

As an AI-powered decision journal, DJ structures a decision process similar to many manual journals. However, DJ captures the decision log entry from your unfiltered thoughts in a conversation instead of the more select, filtered thoughts that come out when writing them down. This approach saves time and allows DJ to surface cognitive biases in real-time while a manual journal can't push back on faulty reasoning.

Do I have to remember to log decisions?

No. You talk to DJ when you're faced with a decision, and it extracts the decision log from the conversation. There's no 'log a decision' button you have to remember to press. You just have the conversation.

How does the bias detection work?

DJ has been trained on the 157 most common cognitive biases in decision-making contexts. It watches for patterns in your conversation — not to lecture you, but to surface a specific bias when the conversation has enough context to make it relevant. It's designed to feel like a smart friend noticing something, not a Wikipedia search.

What happens to my data?

Your decisions are private by default. We don't use your decision content to train models without your explicit opt-in. Decisions are stored encrypted at rest. You can export or delete everything at any time.

Is there a free trial?

During private beta, access is completely free — no card, no timer. Join the waitlist and we'll send you an invite code when a spot opens. Pricing takes effect at public launch, and early members get advance notice before anything changes.

Can I use this for team decisions?

Yes. For group decisions we recommend that the group 1) start with a common set of facts to review in advance, 2) then each participant discusses the decision with DJ on their own, 3) each participant shares their decision log with the facilitator, and 4) the facilitator focuses the group discussion on the areas of strong convergence or divergence. We plan to release a Team plan that will add features like: a shared decision library, group bias reports, and decision forecast analytics. Stay tuned.

Get off the
sidelines.

DJ is in private beta. Join the waitlist and we’ll send you an invite code when a spot opens up. Free during beta — no card needed.

We’ll only email you with your invite code. No spam, ever.
